Hello, My name is Matthew Barfield, I’m a precision engineer, birder and photographer.
Most of my birding is done locally with the New Forest, Lymington & Keyhaven nature and Christchurch Harbour being my most often visited sites.
My photographs have been printed in the local newspaper and in the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust Winter 2017 magazine.
Lymington-Keyhaven Nature Reserve Wildlife Photographer of the year 2019
My photograph of two common terns passing a stickleback was crowned the winner by public vote at the nature reserve open day. “Matthew has been a great ambassador for Lymington-Keyhaven, sharing his photos on twitter” @LymKeyRanger via Twitter
My Goldcrest photo taken at Lymington & Keyhaven nature reserve was chosen to be the front cover and September photograph for the Hampshire & Isle of Wight trust 2019 Wildlife in focus Charity Calendar.
